Our standard
We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. In practice that means:
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "skip to content" link.
- Images have text descriptions, and illustrations are labelled as illustrations.
- Text and buttons meet the WCAG contrast ratios in both light and dark settings.
- Forms have written labels, clear error messages and no time limits.
- Motion is kept small, and it stops when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small phone screens.
How we test
Before each release we check pages with automated accessibility tools, move through every form with a keyboard, and read key pages with a screen reader.
Known limits
Some content comes from other companies, such as the map link on our contact page and, once it is connected, the home search provider's listing pages. We choose providers with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their code. If you have trouble with any of it, Greg can send you the same information by phone or email.
