Our commitment

The Gregory James Group is an Equal Housing Opportunity business. Greg Toussieng and everyone working under the Gregory James Group, a trade name of Montana Real Estate Inc, California DRE #01822046, list, show and sell homes and represent buyers without discrimination.

On this site we describe homes, streets and places, never the people who live in them or who a home might suit. When a buyer asks about an area, we give facts and public sources (recent sale prices, the school district a home sits in, HOA rules, commute routes) and let the buyer decide. Steering a buyer toward or away from a neighborhood because of a protected characteristic is against federal and California law, and we do not do it.

Who is protected

The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits housing discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status or disability.

California's Fair Employment and Housing Act goes further. It also protects ancestry, citizenship, immigration status, primary language, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, marital status, source of income, military or veteran status and age, along with the federal list.

How to report discrimination

If you believe you have been treated unfairly in buying, selling, renting or financing a home, you can file a complaint with either agency, at no cost:

  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): call 1-800-669-9777 or use HUD's online complaint page. Complaints are generally due within one year of the discrimination.
  • California Civil Rights Department: call 800-884-1684 (California Relay Service: 711) or file a complaint online. Housing complaints are generally due within one year of the discrimination.

You can also tell us directly. If anything said or done by anyone at the Gregory James Group seemed unfair to you, call Greg Toussieng at (949) 868-8820 or email greg@bestreguy.com. Telling us never replaces your right to go to HUD or the Civil Rights Department.

Accessibility

If you need a reasonable accommodation to view a home, read a document or use this site, ask us and we will arrange it. Our accessibility statement explains how this website is built.
